Job Description
About the Role We're hiring for a growing company that develops and manufactures medical simulation models used by physicians, healthcare organizations, and medical device companies for procedural training. We're looking for an experienced Manufacturing Technician to join the production team at its facility in Bolton, Massachusetts. This is a hands-on manufacturing role for someone who enjoys building, finishing, and refining physical products. You will work with molds, epoxy, paint, hand and power tools, and finishing processes to manufacture medical simulation models according to established specifications and quality standards. You'll be part of a collaborative production environment where attention to detail, craftsmanship, safety, and consistency are important to the quality of the finished product. What You'll Do Operate manufacturing equipment and tools to produce components and simulation models according to established specifications. Perform finishing work including sanding, buffing, deburring, smoothing, coating, and painting. Work with molds, epoxy, paint, and approved cleaning materials as part of the manufacturing process. Safely and accurately use hand and power tools, including saws and drills. Follow established safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment when handling tools, materials, and chemicals. Inspect completed parts and perform basic quality-control checks to identify defects or inconsistencies. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production area. Assist with basic equipment troubleshooting and routine maintenance. Track materials and supplies used during production. Follow work instructions, production specifications, and quality requirements. Collaborate with other production team members to meet daily and weekly manufacturing goals. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications At least 5 years of hands-on manufacturing, fabrication, production, or closely related experience. Hands-on proficiency in several of the following areas: mechanical assembly, sanding, buffing, coating, painting, finishing, or use of power tools such as saws and drills. High school diploma or equivalent. Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently follow specifications and work instructions. Ability to use hand and power tools safely and accurately. Comfortable working with manufacturing materials such as molds, epoxy, paint, and cleaning products while following appropriate safety procedures. Ability to work effectively as part of a small, hands-on production team. Ability to work full-time, on-site in Bolton, Massachusetts. Preferred Qualifications Technical, manufacturing, machining, fabrication, or related certification. Experience with vacuum forming. CNC machine experience. Experience in medical devices, medical products, precision manufacturing, plastics, composites, model making, or a similar manufacturing environment.
