Overview As a Machine Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and repairs of manufacturing equipment. This is a 3rd shift role, with hours Monday through Friday, 10 pm to 6 am. Training for the role will be completed on 1st or 2nd shift based on availability. This role supports continuous manufacturing by performing troubleshooting, corrective repairs and adjustments, and preventative maintenance across a variety of machines, helping to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency. Responsibilities Operates a variety of equipment to ensure production goals are met. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance and reduce unexpected breakdowns. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues using appropriate tools and techniques. Execute timely corrective repairs to support continuous production operations. Partner with production staff to identify and resolve machine malfunctions impacting manufacturing output. Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance work, repairs, and parts usage in the CMMS. Follow all safety guidelines, policies, and lockout/tagout procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Perform basic to advanced troubleshooting and standard preventative maintenance tasks. Support senior technicians with more complex repairs. Applies foundational mechanical and electrical skills to maintain daily operations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent GED, with a preferred background in vocational or trade school experience. Proven experience in a machine adjuster or machine technician role within a manufacturing facility. Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience with hydraulics, electrical systems, and schematics interpretation. Experience CMMS software, and analysis tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail. Effective communication skills in English for technical documentation, training, and safety. Experience in manufacturing environments is preferred. Basic welding or fabrication skills are a plus. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions This role operates in a manufacturing environment and requires the ability to: Standing or walking for long periods of time, with a fair amount of bending, crawling, or crouching. Works with knives and other sharp objects. Frequent use of forklifts, power jacks, and other industrial warehouse equipment. Frequent lifting 45 pounds or more in a safe and ergonomic manner. Perform computer-based tasks such as entering maintenance data into the CMMS.
