$21.00 per hour

Full-Time | Sunday Night - Friday Morning
Schedule:
Sunday-Thursday, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM Placers Staffing is seeking a reliable and motivated Manufacturing Technician to join a high-performing manufacturing team in Elkton, Maryland. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and are committed to producing high-quality products while maintaining a strong focus on safety and teamwork. This role requires flexibility, as employees will be cross-trained in multiple manufacturing areas and may be asked to support different equipment or shifts based on business needs. Training Schedule New hires will complete approximately three months of paid training on either 1st or 2nd shift before transitioning to the permanent 3rd shift schedule. Key Responsibilities Operate manufacturing equipment in multiple production areas. Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic preventative maintenance. Complete accurate documentation, production records, and data entry. Follow work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality systems to consistently produce products that meet customer and company standards. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support lean manufacturing practices. Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety policies, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), and completing all required safety training. Work independently while collaborating effectively with team members in a high-performing manufacturing environment. Support multiple production areas as business needs require. Required Qualifications Basic computer skills with the ability to learn manufacturing software and production systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent attention to detail with accurate documentation and recordkeeping abilities. Self-motivated with a positive attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, alternate shifts, and different production areas as business needs change. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, stand for extended periods, and safely operate powered industrial vehicles. Preferred Qualifications Previous manufacturing experience. High school diploma or GED.
