Onsite Job Summary:
We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician 2 to support aerospace panel assembly and fabrication. The technician will work with honeycomb panels, adhesives, hand tools, engineering drawings, and manufacturing instructions to build and inspect aerospace components.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabricate and assemble aerospace honeycomb panels. Prepare honeycomb cores and apply adhesives. Mix and apply epoxy and silicone adhesives. Perform vacuum bagging, compaction, bonding, and related panel assembly processes. Read and follow engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical procedures. Use hand tools and power tools to process and assemble metal, composite, and wood materials. Perform rework, quality checks, troubleshooting, and inspections. Work with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality teams to resolve production issues. Assist with equipment setup, calibration, testing, and process improvements. Maintain high standards for safety, quality, and workmanship. Lift up to 50 lbs and work on elevated work areas when required. Work flexible hours when needed to meet production schedules.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED. 2+ years of honeycomb panel fabrication or aerospace mechanical assembly experience. Strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings. Experience using hand tools and power tools. Good math and geometry skills. Ability to follow written instructions and technical procedures. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Strong attention to safety and quality. US Citizenship required.
Preferred Skills:
Aerospace manufacturing or fabrication experience. Honeycomb panel fabrication experience. Experience mixing and applying epoxy or silicone adhesives. Experience working with thin metal facesheets. Experience handling hazardous materials according to OSHA and industry standards. Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
Pay:
$28.00 - $33.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
