Job Description

Job Description Insight Global is seeking an experienced Electronic Manufacturing Technician for an Aviation customer. This role is critical to reducing repair backlog and improving throughput across operations. This is a highly independent, hands-on position focused on advanced troubleshooting, testing, and repair of electronic components—requiring strong critical thinking and the ability to work through complex, non-routine issues. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electronic equipment and avionics components Perform functional testing to validate repairs and ensure quality standards Utilize electronic test equipment (e.g., signal generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers) Execute soldering and desoldering of electronic components with precision Interpret and apply blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation Document repair processes accurately and maintain compliance with internal procedures Apply structured troubleshooting methodologies (e.g., first known good / last known bad) Collaborate with engineering on complex or unidentified issues as needed
Team Structure:
Small second-shift team; high level of autonomy expected

Skills and Requirements High School Diploma 5+ years of related Electronics Testing and advanced troubleshooting within Aerospace Engineering OR 2+ yeras with an Associate Degree, Technical Certification, or equivalent post-secondary education in Electronics, Manufacturing Technology, Electrical Technology, Aviation Electronics Proven experience in electronics repair and troubleshooting within manufacturing Hands-on proficiency with: Signal generators Oscilloscopes Spectrum analyzers Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities Ability to adapt to varied and complex repair scenarios Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., aviation, aerospace, medical device, etc.)
