3005085479-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Cargill is seeking a Boiler Utility Technician to support safe, efficient operation of utility systems at our manufacturing facility. In this role, you will operate, monitor, and maintain boilers, steam distribution, compressed air, and related utility equipment to ensure reliable supply for production. Responsibilities include performing rounds, recording operating data, conducting water treatment tests, and responding to alarms or equipment issues. You will perform basic mechanical maintenance, follow strict safety and environmental procedures, and collaborate with operations and maintenance teams in a culture of integrity, learning, and innovation. Responsibilities Operate and monitor boilers, steam, and utility systems to support manufacturing operations Perform routine rounds, inspections, and log operating data for boilers and auxiliary equipment Conduct boiler water treatment tests and adjust chemicals to maintain proper water quality Troubleshoot and respond to alarms, equipment issues, and abnormal operating conditions Perform basic mechanical maintenance on pumps, valves, piping, and related utility equipment Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory procedures, including LOTO and confined space Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and improve reliability Use maintenance systems to document work orders, inspections, and repairs Support continuous improvement and energy efficiency initiatives within the utility area Participate in training and adhere to Cargill's standards for integrity, safety, and inclusion Required Skills Boiler operation and troubleshooting Steam systems maintenance Water treatment and testing Industrial pumps and valves Mechanical and electrical aptitude Preventive maintenance (PM) Industrial safety and OSHA compliance Instrumentation and control monitoring Reading P&IDs and technical manuals CMMS or maintenance work order systems
