Highland Plastics is a 30-year manufacturer of extruded sheet and roll products for the automotive industry, with strong growth plans ahead. We're hiring for our night shift on a 5-day, 24-hour operation. Production Line Operator — Night Shift (Midnight-8:00 AM) Pay & Benefits $20/hr base + $1.00/hr shift premium ~$5/hr in additional benefits value Health, dental, and vision insurance Fully-funded short- and long-term disability insurance $100,000 life insurance 401(k) with company match Profit sharing, PTO, and employee assistance program Full on-the-job training — no prior extrusion experience required What You'll Do Safely operating a forklift Disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling industrial machinery (some components exceed 400°F) Starting up extrusion lines by completing pre-start checklists and setting parameters to spec Troubleshooting process issues and adjusting equipment to keep product within quality tolerances Taking QC measurements and logging them accurately Packaging finished goods (stacking sheet or winding rolls) Granulating scrap and maintaining a clean, safe work area This role blends setup, machine operation, and quality control — ideal for someone who wants variety and autonomy rather than repetitive, single-task work.
