This is a working leadership role for someone with a strong general contractor background who can move confidently between electrical, plumbing, cabinetry, fabrication, and vehicle-related systems. The right person takes ownership of the build, solves problems before they become delays, and helps set the pace and quality standard for the production team. They should be comfortable reading plans, coordinating work across trades, mentoring other technicians, and ensuring every vehicle leaves the floor built correctly and finished to a high standard. Key Responsibilities Lead and work alongside the production team in building adventure vehicles from the ground up according to build specifications, timelines, and quality standards. Coordinate daily work across multiple areas of the build, including framing, cabinetry, electrical, plumbing, interior finish-out, and vehicle systems. Perform and oversee installation of electrical components, including panels, wiring, outlets, switches, lighting, batteries, inverters, appliances, and related systems. Perform and oversee installation of fresh-water and grey-water systems, including tanks, pumps, plumbing lines, fittings, drains, fixtures, and testing. Apply working knowledge of vehicle systems, including chassis-related components, 12V and 120V electrical systems, mounting practices, and safe integration of components into a vehicle environment. Fabricate and install custom cabinetry, furniture, interior fixtures, trim, and composite materials. Read and interpret build specifications, drawings, measurements, and work orders; identify missing details or potential conflicts early. Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, structural, mechanical, and fit-and-finish issues throughout the build process. Inspect work at each stage, correct deficiencies, and ensure completed work meets 27North quality expectations before moving to the next phase. Help train, mentor, and support Production Technicians; provide clear direction and reinforce safe, efficient work practices. Communicate progress, material needs, quality concerns, and potential delays to the Production Manager. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area, including proper care of tools, equipment, and materials. Take pride in the final product and represent 27North's craftsmanship standards in every detail. Qualifications 5+ years of relevant hands-on experience in general contracting, residential or commercial construction, RV or marine construction, custom fabrication, vehicle upfitting, or a similar field. Strong working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems; experience with both 12V and 120V electrical systems is strongly preferred. Experience working with vehicles, RVs, trailers, vans, marine systems, or custom vehicle builds is strongly preferred. Proven ability to lead projects or crews while remaining actively involved in the hands-on work. Experience with cabinetry, finish carpentry, framing, composites, and custom interior installation. Ability to read drawings, follow specifications, accurately measure, and solve practical construction issues. Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and follow-through. Dependable, safety-minded, and able to work independently while contributing positively to a team. Ability to lift and move materials and equipment as needed and work in a production environment. Preferred Qualifications General contractor, journeyman electrician, plumbing, RVIA, automotive, marine, welding, or fabrication experience. Experience supervising or mentoring technicians in a production, construction, or service environment. Familiarity with luxury, custom-built products and high-end fit-and-finish expectations.

Pay:

$23.00 - $28.00 per hour
