Overview:

Montana Advanced Composites (MAC) is a developer and manufacturer of advanced composite materials used in the aerospace, sporting goods, transportation, and industrial markets. We are committed to building a collaborative team and offering a safe, positive, and flexible work environment. MAC is seeking a mechanically-minded Machine Technician who will be responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of production equipment. This person will work closely with the Manufacturing and Engineering teams to keep equipment running safely and reliably, minimize downtime, and support continuous improvement of MAC's manufacturing processes. ?Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: ? Follow all safety procedures within the facility; strict attention paid to proper PPE and material handling/storage guidelines ? Set up, operate, and adjust production machinery and equipment to meet job specifications ? Perform routine preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment; identify and correct minor mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues ? Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to minimize downtime ? Monitor equipment performance during production runs and make adjustments to maintain quality and throughput ? Maintain an inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies; communicate needs to the Manufacturing Manager ? Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness and organization for equipment and work areas ? Read and adhere to manuals, specifications, job orders, planning documents, and engineering drawings ? Maintain accurate maintenance, calibration, and production records within the ERP system ? Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment as needed ? Assist Manufacturing Operators and Engineering Technicians in resolving equipment-related production issues Preferred qualifications and competencies include: ? Experience with industrial machinery setup, operation, maintenance, or repair, ideally in a manufacturing environment ? Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems ? Associate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience considered ? Exacting attention to detail in record keeping, measurements, and equipment documentation ? Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think independently and critically to diagnose equipment issues ? Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments ? Strong desire to engage and learn new techniques relevant to composite materials manufacturing equipment ? Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment
