Wildlife Laboratory Technician Job Overview:
Matson's Lab is seeking a dedicated Wildlife Laboratory Technician with a strong interest in wildlife management, hunting, conservation, or histology . This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on laboratory work, values precision, and takes pride in producing high-quality data that supports wildlife conservation.
Wildlife Laboratory Technician Key Responsibilities:
Follow established laboratory protocols to process samples with accuracy and efficiency. Learn and master fundamental lab techniques, advancing to more complex tasks over time. Maintain a high level of focus and attention to detail to ensure data quality meets professional standards. Collaborate in a relaxed yet professional laboratory setting with fellow technicians.
Wildlife Laboratory Technician Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Biology or a related scientific field (required for full-time, permanent employment). Laboratory experience (preferred, but not required). Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office . No prior histology experience required—comprehensive training is provided.
Wildlife Laboratory Technician Compensation & Growth Opportunities:
Starting wage: $17.05/hr. + commissions Clear advancement path—technicians may be eligible for promotion within a year based on performance. Full-time employees receive benefits, including a productivity-based commissions.
