Overview:
The Production Technician position offers an excellent entry-level opportunity for recent university graduates and experienced individuals interested in production and manufacturing operations for vaccine production. This role involves supporting the manufacturing process through hands-on activities, including sterile supply assemblies and media formulations, while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Responsibilities 30% - Clean Room Management / Materials Set up and break down GMP spaces and equipment. Accurately and efficiently move process materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Follow SOPs, GMP/cGMP requirements, government regulations, and safety programs. Follow lean manufacturing principles and current manufacturing practices. Manage inventory and tasks for aseptic growth. Prepare and move equipment. 60% - Operations Support Operate and monitor equipment, including: RCCS Shell freezers Wheaton carts Tube welders Perform tasks based on skill level to establish QC status and expiry of sterile equipment. Provide materials and support for equipment maintenance. Work with systems including SAP, MES, Kanbans, and PLC. Handle sample delivery. Manage labeling and inventory of clean/sterile equipment. Transfer samples. 10% - Information Transfer Complete safety training and compliance events. Qualifications Must be able to pass SAM screening.
Education/Experience:
Degree in Science or Engineering with 0-1 year of experience, OR No degree with 3+ years of experience. Basic computer skills required, including Microsoft Office. Prior manufacturing experience preferred. Schedule 2-2-3 schedule 2 days on 2 days off 2 days on 3 days off Schedule totals approximately 44 hours, 36 hours, and 40 hours on the rotating cycle.
