Job Description
Basic Purpose of Position:
Supporting manufacturing, quality, and engineering with development, production, and training for new processes and products and working closely with management to ensure quoted production rates are met. Provide unbiased training and mentorship to new staff and trainees for existing products and processes with a focus on meeting published production rates and quality requirements. Troubleshooting of existing and new production equipment and processes.Essential Functions of Position:
Involved in debugging and troubleshooting new products and new processes (machining, metal fabrication, welding, brazing, assembly). Investigate and analyze customer problems as requested. Maximize efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, and assembly methods. Troubleshoot production issues and procedures. Support Sales, Technicians, Production workers, and others on technical matters as required to meet project objectives. Finalize bill of materials and routing upon product launch. Work with vendors on startup of and training on new metal cutting and fabricating equipment. Supervise technicians, production workers, and others on technical matters as required to meet project objectives. Work in a production role when not working on new product development or troubleshooting.Minimum Skills Required:
5 years experience in a manufacturing environment; Experience in a progressive and advanced product/process design environment or manufacturing environment linked to product development; Familiarity with ISO quality system requirements; Proven experience in process improvement, leading projects with a record of successful implementation; Must be able to interpret BOMs and engineering prints and create routings; Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to deal with all levels of staff, customers, suppliers, and operations; Ability to collaborate and partner with internal and external customers; Excellent presentation and organizational skills. Must have a sense of urgency and be deadline oriented; Must have strong analytical skills; Demonstrates attention to detail; Organizational skills; Works well in a team environment. Proven problem-solving and critical-thinking skills; MS Office proficiency.Pay:
$26.00 - $32.00 per hourBenefits:
