Position Overview This is a Direct Hire Opportunity As a Stamping Process Technician, you will be responsible for keeping automated assembly equipment and molding systems operating efficiently while supporting production goals and minimizing downtime. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to identify root causes of equipment malfunctions using a logical and methodical approach. The technician will work closely with manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, and tooling teams to support production efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Setup, operate & trouble-shoot progressive dies in coil fed presses up to 100 tons. Extensive experience in material handling, strip loading and startup requirements including mechanical & servo feed systems Experience with utilization of press & tool safety systems commonly utilized in progressive die setups Troubleshoot automated equipment. Use mechanical skills and critical thinking to determine root cause of equipment malfunctions. Use a methodical approach to problem solving. Test sensors and other electrical components and replace as needed. Troubleshoot stamping problems Perform preventative and predictive maintenance functions. Perform die changes and start ups. Determine tooling problems and communicate with tool room to resovle issues. Lead set up techs in the department to ensure process effecieny Utilize 5S, continuous improvement and Lean tools daily to improve the department. Complete quality inspection routines measuring multiple dimensions of stamped parts using manual and electronic measuring equipment Qualifications Required High school diploma or
GED Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Very high mechanical aptitude Understanding of PLC controlled equipment Ability to troubleshoot electro/mechanical assemblies Ability to use a multimeter to check voltage, resistance and continuity Ability to effectively communicate technical issues with engineering and maintenance departments
