Job Description Manufacturing Engineering Technician Hours:
M-F 8-5pm (OT as needed) Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support engineers in improving manufacturing processes through machine setup, production trials, sample collection, testing, and data analysis. This role works closely with Manufacturing Engineers and production operators to evaluate process performance, identify issues, and recommend improvements that enhance quality, efficiency, safety, and operator effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of manufacturing experience , strong hands-on troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently, and experience using Excel to collect, organize, and analyze production data. Key Responsibilities Support Manufacturing Engineers with process development, improvement, and optimization activities. Perform machine and equipment setups for production and experimental trials. Plan and execute sequences of operations for experimental and process trials. Collect production samples and perform testing, measurements, and analysis throughout the manufacturing process. Collect, organize, and analyze manufacturing and process data using Microsoft Excel . Monitor key process variables and evaluate whether processes remain within established controls and requirements. Identify manufacturing problems by reviewing relevant facts, evidence, production data, and process conditions. Independently troubleshoot and resolve the majority of day-to-day manufacturing issues. Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers, Process Engineers, Operators, and other cross-functional teams . Evaluate different manufacturing methods while considering cost, efficiency, process requirements, and operator safety and comfort. Coordinate activities beyond routine assignments and support engineering trials and process improvement projects. Recommend improvements to manufacturing processes, equipment setups, procedures, and operating methods. Support production deadlines and engineering project schedules. Escalate issues that cross functional areas or may have broader operational impact. Maintain accurate documentation and protect confidential technical and manufacturing information. Follow all applicable safety, quality, manufacturing, and compliance requirements. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. AAS/Associate degree preferred but not required. 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong hands-on understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments. Experience working directly with engineers and manufacturing operators. Ability to independently troubleshoot problems and make sound technical decisions. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel , including organizing and analyzing production data. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
