Shift Openings Starting Pay:
$18.00/hour + shift differential
Training Schedule:
New hires will train on 1st shift for approximately 45 days before transitioning to their assigned shift. Looking for more than just a job? What You'll Do As a Polymer Production Technician, you'll help support the safe and efficient production of polymer products by: Draining polymer from production reactors into totes and drums Connecting, monitoring, and handling industrial hoses and equipment Filtering finished products according to quality specifications Packaging and preparing finished goods for shipment Weighing and staging raw materials for production Assisting with material movement and production support activities Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment Following all company safety policies, procedures, and work instructions Working closely with team members to support production goals Grow With Us This position serves as the entry point into STI Polymer's Polymer Operations Career Pathway. Operator III Requirements:
What We're Looking For We're interested in dependable, safety-minded individuals who are eager to learn and grow. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Basic math skills Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Strong attention to detail Ability to work effectively as part of a team Commitment to working safely and following established procedures Preferred Qualifications Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial experience Forklift experience Experience operating manufacturing equipment Previous experience is helpful but not required. We provide training for individuals with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Physical & Work Requirements This position must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, including: Regular lifting of materials up to 50 pounds Standing and walking for extended periods Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling Climbing stairs throughout the production facility Working in a manufacturing environment around production equipment Wearing required personal protective equipment, including a full-face respirator when necessary
