Spherion Staffing has openings for Manufacturing Technicians I & II in Fargo. The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for performing fundamental assembly and disassembly operations within a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on repetitive processes with minimal complexity and variation, requiring a high level of consistency, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities:
Technical Operations
Assembly & Disassembly:
Effectively perform basic assembly and disassembly of final products using precision measuring devices.
Tool Utilization:
Efficiently operate hand tools, power tools, gauges, presses, and torque-measuring devices to ensure all products meet quality specifications.
Material Handling:
Safely operate overhead cranes, hoists, and electric pallet jacks to move components throughout the facility.
Digital Integration:
Utilize internal computer systems, including PinPoint, CRDL Production Systems, and Microsoft Teams Forms, for data entry and production tracking. Process & Quality Control
Standard Work:
Interpret and follow Standard Work Instructions (SWI) and daily production schedules accurately. ...
Inventory & Flow:
Understand labeling systems and maintain the efficient flow of work-in-progress (WIP) materials.
Continuous Improvement:
Actively participate in the CI/PID (Continuous Improvement) process to enhance shop efficiency. Safety & Culture
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all facility safety policies, perform hazardous risk assessments, and consistently use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Promote a workplace culture based on honesty, integrity, and the company's "Values in Action".
Team Collaboration:
Work independently with support from Team Leads while maintaining open communication with supervisors and production personnel.

High School Experience:

Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred; specific experience with hoist operations is a plus.
Physical/Technical Skills:
Ability to read, write, and interpret complex technical instructions.
Ability to audit and work in various shop environments (tasks involving manual dexterity and tool usage).
Professionalism:
Proven ability to work effectively in a team setting and serve as a positive role model for other employees.

Willingness to perform other duties as assigned to support cross-training and overall shop operations.
