Job Description
The Product Technician 3 is responsible for operating production machinery in accordance with established procedures and guidelines to produce products based on the specifications outline in the Job Book The Product Technician 3 is expected to:
- Produce products that meet MICRO's quality standards and customer specifications consistently Machine Operation 60%
- Operates a variety of production equipment and machinery.
- Manufacture, test, inspect, package, and label products according to defined procedures and instructions as appropriate.
- Uses computer-controlled equipment to select, position and secure automatic or semi-automatic machines.
- Verifies material, lubricants, solvents and packaging material are correct.
- Produces products that conform to all of the requirements outlined in the job book
- Monitors production process during the production run
- Performs maintenance activities where applicable
- Stops production when product is not in conformance and follows the nonconformance procedure. Product Inspection and Nonconformance Process 40%
- Reads and interprets prints located in the job book. Verifies dimensions of finished product visually and/or by using inspection equipment per customer specifications.
- Keeps inspection data based on the requirements of the job book.
- Completes all necessary documentation.
- Uses SPC to verify conformance of products
- Identifies production or quality issues and reports it to the appropriate group.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
- 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred
