Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. This role works closely with engineers and production teams to optimize efficiency, maintain equipment, and ensure high-quality production while adhering to safety and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the design, development, and testing of manufacturing processes Monitor and improve production efficiency and product quality Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment Support the implementation of new manufacturing technologies and methods Collect and analyze data to identify process improvements Develop and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures Train and support production staff on equipment and processes Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards
Requirements Qualifications:
Associate degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering technician role Experience with automated manufacturing equipment preferred Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) Familiarity with ERP systems (BOMs, routings, labor/machine tracking) Experience with soldering and welding is a plus
Skills and Abilities:
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer applications Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and occasional fumes Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required Must maintain awareness of and follow all safety procedures We believe in transparent and equitable pay.
