JOB TITLE
Production Technician - Entry Level
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
Provide production support to various departments, assisting with basic hardware insertion, manual tapping, graining/deburring, part unloading, painting, and palletizing, minor assembly, and other operations as directed. The Production Sheetmetal Technician ensures parts are handled with care, prepared for the next operation, and completed according to Future Form's internal procedures with an emphasis on quality, efficiency, and teamwork.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES
Essential Perform basic operations such as: Hardware insertion (per program/tooling requirements) Manual tapping of holes Minor part assembly (riveting) Unloading and staging parts from the laser Graining and deburring edges/surfaces Have first article or setup checked by lead, supervisor, or inspector Check parts regularly for accuracy and quality Maintain efficient production times and accurate part counts Document work accurately including clock-in & clock-out Properly prepare and stage parts for the next process Communicate clearly and promptly with supervisors, lead, and co-workers Notify lead of any material or mechanical issues Participate actively and positively in Lean activities Follow

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION
Follow all OSHA safety regulations and those set by Future Form Manufacturing.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION
Essential Ability to operate machinery in various departments Basic math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to understand and follow detailed verbal instructions Ability to read and understand shop orders, policies and procedures Ability to read drawings Ability to check quality using precision measuring equipment Ability to perform repetitive tasks Manual dexterity Beneficial High school graduate plus relevant vocational training (e.g. sheet metal work) Ability to create spreadsheets and graphs using Excel or the equivalent Ability to create and file Work documents Additional math skills relating to algebra, geometry and/or trigonometry
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION
Sit 22%, Stand 60%, Walk 2%, Bend 2%, Squat 2%, Lift 4%, Twist 2%, Kneel 1%, Reach Above Shoulder 1%, Climb 2%, Drive 1%, Push/Pull 1%. Maximum (minutes): Sit 105, Stand 288, Walk 10, Bend 10, Squat 10, Lift 19, Twist 9, Kneel 5, Reach Above Shoulder 5, Climb 9, Drive 5, Push/Pull 5. Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Must have normal vision (with or without corrective lenses) and hearing (with or without corrective hearing aids).
Working Environment:
Shop environment. Moderate noise level. Exposure to dust, heat and cold. This position will require drug testing per company policy. Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
Pay:
$21.00 - $24.00 per hour
