Manufacturing Technician - C Shift

Akkodis is seeking a Manufacturing Technician•C Shift for a Contract to Hire with a client in Fairport, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving PCB and electromechanical assemblies while ensuring 100% quality and safe production operations.

Rate Range:

$25/hour to $32/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Manufacturing Technician•C Shift Job Responsibilities include: Test, troubleshoot, repair, and rework electro‑mechanical assemblies and through‑hole/surface‑mount PCBAs to meet quality standards. Operate and troubleshoot automated test systems (LabVIEW or similar) and provide testing support for engineering prototypes. Train technicians and assemblers on mastered processes while ensuring adherence to work instructions and safety practices. Maintain accurate process documentation, material inventory control, and ensure tools/equipment function as intended. Analyze failures, recommend process improvements, and support cost‑reduction initiatives. Communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely, detail‑oriented production support.

Required Qualifications:

Technician or associate's degree in Mechatronics, Electro‑Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field. Minimum of 3+ years in electro‑mechanical/electronic product assembly and 2+ years in PCB assembly. Proficiency in PCB testing, troubleshooting, repair, and rework, including through‑hole and surface‑mount soldering, with experience using LabVIEW or similar automated test systems. Ability to read engineering schematics and work instructions, use Microsoft Office and production software, and work independently with strong attention to detail and communication skills. Pay Details:
