You will follow food safety and quality procedures, perform routine machine checks, complete production documentation, and support smooth operations throughout each shift. Job Duties Operate production equipment used in sausage manufacturing (examples: grinders, mixers, stuffers, linkers/cutters, smokehouses/ovens, packaging lines ). Monitor equipment during production to ensure proper operation, correct settings, and product quality . Adjust equipment controls (e.g., speed, temperature, pressure, fill levels ) according to recipes/specifications. Perform start-up, changeover, and shutdown tasks, including cleaning and setup between product runs. Conduct routine checks for issues such as jams, leaks, abnormal noise/vibration, temperature fluctuations , and ingredient consistency. Follow GMP/food safety and sanitation procedures, including completing cleaning schedules and verifying sanitation completion. Verify materials (ingredients/casings/seasonings) against work orders and product specifications . Complete production logs and documentation (batch records, downtime reasons, QC/production checks, etc.). Support basic troubleshooting and escalate equipment or quality concerns to the supervisor/lead. Follow all safety requirements, including PPE use and adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Assist with packaging/labeling tasks as assigned to ensure correct labels, weights/counts, and case readiness.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs without assistance Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and moving throughout the shift Work may occur in varied environmental conditions (cold, heat, humidity)

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
(KSAs) Prior production/manufacturing or food processing experience Experience operating industrial equipment (mixing/stuffing/packaging equipment) Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with monitoring equipment performance Must be able to perform basic computer literacy functions
Pay:
$22.00 - $27.00 per hour
