About the Role As a Composite Manufacturing Technician, you will play a vital role in the fabrication of high-performance aerospace components. You will utilize your technical expertise in material layup, vacuum bagging, and precision finishing to ensure every part meets rigorous engineering standards and quality requirements. Responsibilities Execute precise composite layup processes, including mold preparation and material application, to meet exact design specifications. Perform secondary bonding operations using specialized resins and epoxies to ensure structural integrity. Manage vacuum bagging procedures to facilitate optimal curing and material consolidation. Conduct detailed trimming, cutting, and drilling of composite parts using hand and power tools to achieve engineering tolerances. Set up and maintain production tooling, jigs, and fixtures to streamline assembly workflows. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace while handling hazardous materials and adhesives according to safety protocols. Perform comprehensive quality inspections to identify and document any deviations from technical drawings. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to refine fabrication processes and maximize production efficiency. Qualifications Required Skills Proven ability to interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and assembly instructions. Solid understanding of composite material properties, resin systems, and bonding techniques. Proficiency with precision hand tools, power tools, and various measuring instruments. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent professional experience. Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail when handling delicate components. Ability to work effectively in a production environment requiring the use of personal protective equipment. Preferred Skills Formal technical or vocational training in composite technology or aerospace manufacturing. Previous experience with industrial or commercial surface finishing and painting.
