Building Maintenance Technician Job Duties- Perform basic and complex building maintenance related tasks and know the proper technical requirements and methods needed to complete these tasks, for both inside and outside areas of all company plants and satellite structures.
- Do maintenance tasks involving cutting, fabricating, and welding, general repairs and construction, heavy moving, snow removal, concrete work, painting, cleaning/stripping/sealing floors, etc.
- Operate and drive construction equipment, tractors, trucks, lift trucks, snorkel, scissor lift, WAVE, etc.
- Organize and assign work according to plant priority.
- Support Ops Excellence, Lean and Continuous Improvement activities and initiatives.
- Coordinate and train current and new team members.
- Must be able to function as a project leader.
- Function as the point person for the maintenance team.
- Oversee and document facility preventive and general maintenance.
- Work and coordinate with resources such as servicemen, supervisors, operators, lead technicians, and outside contractors.
- Lead the team on all applicable Environmental, Health, and Safety standards. Report unsafe conditions and do not perform unsafe acts.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
- Must be able to read and understand work orders and prints and have basic math skills.
- Must have knowledge of building structures.
- Some knowledge of electrical and plumbing.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Per 8 hr.
- Organize, reason, and analyze.
- CDL license is helpful.
