What You'll Do The Advanced Manufacturing Technician is a technical career-track position designed to develop future Coating Technicians and advanced manufacturing professionals.
Responsibilities include:
Become qualified on multiple advanced vacuum coating systems while developing skills in surface engineering, metrology, quality assurance, fixturing, and precision manufacturing. Select approved coating recipes and verify process parameters. Prepare, fixture, and load precision components for optimal coating performance. Monitor coating runs and recognize abnormal process conditions. Perform advanced inspections using precision measurement equipment. Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance. Perform routine preventive maintenance and maintain reactor readiness. Mentorship program and support technical training across the shop. Maintain accurate production documentation and ensure customer requirements are met. These responsibilities are developed through the execution of production processes, quality standards, equipment, and material handling requirements. As competency is demonstrated, technicians progress into increasingly advanced coating responsibilities. What We're Looking For Ideal candidates may have completed coursework in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field. A degree is not required—technical curiosity and a desire to learn are. Dependable and committed to showing up every day. Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
