Role Overview Engineered Vision is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join our growing manufacturing team. Unlike a traditional production environment, nearly every build is different. You'll receive materials, verify incoming components, kit jobs, assemble electromechanical products, perform wiring and soldering, complete quality inspections, package finished products, and prepare them for shipment. ResponsibilitiesReceiving & Inventory Receive incoming materials and verify quantities and part numbers Inspect incoming components for damage or quality issues Organize inventory and maintain accurate material locations Kit materials for upcoming production jobs Electromechanical Assembly Assemble electromechanical products using engineering drawings, 3D models, 2d prints, work instructions, and bills of materials Perform mechanical assembly using hand and power tools Install wiring, cable assemblies, pneumatic tubing, and electrical components Perform soldering, crimping, labeling, and cable management Build and modify electrical panels as required Testing & Quality Inspect completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards Perform functional testing and document results Troubleshoot assembly issues and work with engineering to resolve them Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area Shipping & Logistics Package finished products for shipment Prepare shipping documentation and labels Coordinate outgoing shipments with carriers Help maintain inventory accuracy and organization Team Support Assist engineering with prototype and pilot builds Identify opportunities to improve assembly efficiency and quality Support shop organization and continuous improvement initiatives Assist with machine builds and customer projects as workload requires Required Qualifications US Citizenship Required (we support Government programs) 1+ year of experience in electromechanical assembly, automation, machine building, panel wiring, soldering, manufacturing, or a similar technical role Experience reading mechanical drawings and electrical schematics Experience using hand tools and common assembly equipment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Positive attitude with a willingness to learn Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs. Ability to work on your feet throughout much of the day Live near the Westerville, Ohio area Preferred Qualifications Soldering experience Experience with ERP or inventory systems Mechanical or electrical technical education, trade school, or associate degree About Us Engineered Vision designs and builds custom automation systems incorporating robots, machine vision, motion control, and other advanced manufacturing technologies for customers across a wide range of industries.
