Onsite Job Summary Under the direction of the Process Unit Lead or Lead Technician, the Manufacturing Technician I will perform a wide variety of tasks and operations required to fill, inspect, and package sterile pharmaceutical products in a state-of-the-art, automated production and packaging facility. The technician will troubleshoot, maintain, and assemble production equipment as required and assist Engineers and Maintenance Mechanics with major equipment overhauls, repairs, and installations. All operations will be carried out in compliance with cGMPs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), product recipes, and company standards. Key Responsibilities Adhere to all plant safety policies and procedures and proactively identify unsafe conditions. Assist in cleaning, setup, changeover, and operation of equipment for the inspection or packaging of various-sized vials, pre-filled syringes, and devices. Support Engineers, Maintenance Mechanics, and outside services with the repair, maintenance, and calibration of production systems as required, including user-performed and routine maintenance. Perform training of other Technicians and assist in the development and improvement of SOPs and training materials. Execute production recipes, check in equipment, and perform material movements using automated computer software applications such as SAP and MES systems. Complete all documentation and clerical functions before startup, during processing, and at the completion of manufacturing processes to ensure proper accountability and traceability of components and finished products. Identify, report, and document process deviations or atypical events in accordance with site SOPs. Use automation systems including SAP, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Pi ProcessBook, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI). Troubleshoot and identify resolutions for mechanical failures in production. Perform manual and semi-automated inspection of filled product vials with a focus on quality and efficiency. Conduct environmental monitoring activities in manufacturing areas as required, including routine cleaning and housekeeping activities to maintain environmental grades. At the start and finish of each shift, report and make recommendations regarding equipment, supplies, required repairs, process concerns, safety concerns, and opportunities to improve reliability, yield, and efficiency. Ability to accurately complete Batch Production Records (BPRs), logbooks, and forms while maintaining a high level of data integrity. Qualifications & Requirements Proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and communication. Must be able to work all shifts, including day and swing shifts. Must be available for required overtime as needed. Ability to lift up to 45 pounds. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Must successfully pass all job-related tests and certifications required for working in a cGMP quality environment. Must be able to complete medical evaluations required for gowning into controlled non-classified and classified manufacturing areas. Must successfully complete visual inspection qualification testing and applicable GMP requirements. Must re-qualify annually on all job-related tests and certifications as required. Must pass vision acuity and color discrimination testing. Education Option 1: High school diploma or equivalent and two years of manufacturing experience in related industries, such as: Aerospace Automotive Food and Beverage Semiconductor OR Option 2: Graduate of a two-year Associate's Degree program in: Bioscience Technology Microelectronics Technology Similar technical field Experience 2-5 years of experience within the last 7 years in the operation of equipment used in the inspection and packaging of products or containers is highly desirable. Computer Skills Computer literate with the ability to interface with computer systems and PLC-based logic. Comfortable working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to navigate web pages and email. Basic typing skills. Schedule & Work Environment May require overtime and flexibility to work other shifts as needed.
