RapidMade, a 3D printing, traditional manufacturing and engineering services firm located in Tualatin, has openings for 2 Shop Technicians for its 12 PM
•8 PM shift. The starting wage is $23
•25/hour plus bonus, depending on experience, and the work schedule is 40 hours/week plus overtime as needed. New hires may be trained to perform all job duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operates 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines, and sets up repeat orders Operates Thermoformers and sets up repeat orders Assembles and finishes complex parts. Bonds, finishes and produces tools. Paints parts and tools. Performs basic equipment routine maintenance. Can perform Finisher duties including packaging of parts Complete production orders as assigned. Ensures orders are delivered on time, below cost, and meets customer specifications and quality requirements. Follow job documentation, including travelers and work instructions, to ensure accuracy. Conduct basic visual and part caliper inspections to verify part quality. Execute quality control (QC) checks to ensure parts meet customer specifications and internal standards. Identify, isolate, and report nonconforming parts in accordance with company quality procedures. Maintain accurate and consistent workflow tracking of production and communicate job status updates to the Trad. Supervisor. Ensure proper handling of parts carefully throughout all stages of processing to prevent damage or quality issues. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work areas, including equipment, tools, and workstations. Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures related to additive manufacturing processes. Utilize basic job tracking systems/software for order updates and traceability. Assist in continuous improvement efforts by identifying inefficiencies in machining, forming and finishing. Collaborate with team members and leadership to meet production goals, deadlines, and quality expectations. Other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Associate's degree or 1-2 years equivalent experience in manufacturing related field. Ability to adapt to changing customer requirements and operate in a fast-paced environment. Basic understanding of machine operations, hand tools and finishing equipment. Good communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities are necessary. Basic computer skills for documentation and tracking. Able to meet job-specific physical requirements.
