Job Description
Do you love solving tough equipment problems? Can you read a schematic in one hand and a wiring diagram in the other? Are you the first to respond when a line goes down? If yes, you might be our next Manufacturing Reliability Technician in Hazelton, PA.
Your Focus Areas Preventive maintenance:
inspections, adjustments, and scheduled repairs. Rapid troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC systems. Emergency response to breakdowns to reduce downtime. Accurate documentation of work orders and equipment history. Support for equipment installs, modifications, testing, and start-up. Collaboration with Production, Engineering, and Quality on reliability improvements. Participation in continuous improvement and process enhancement initiatives. Assistance with plant shutdowns, changeovers, and special projects. Uphold a safe, clean, and organized work area while following all procedures. Must-Have Qualifications High School Diploma/GED (or equivalent). At least 2 years in a manufacturing/industrial/food production maintenance role. Mechanical aptitude and strong diagnostic skills. Working knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC. Ability to interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and manuals. Experience with hand tools, power tools, measuring tools, and diagnostic instruments. Team player who can also work independently; organized problem solver. Willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs arise. Nice-to-Haves Apprenticeship, technical degree, or trade school in Maintenance, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, Electrical Technology, or similar. Exposure to PLCs, automation platforms, VFDs, robotics, and industrial controls. Trade certifications (Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Welding, etc.). Food manufacturing experience and GMP familiarity. Physical & Environmental Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and climb through your shift. Lift/move up to 50 lbs routinely. Work at heights and in confined spaces when needed. Wear required PPE. Work around moving machinery, industrial equipment, varying temperatures, noise, and industrial chemicals. Safety, food safety, quality, and environmental compliance are non-negotiable.
