Manufacturing Technician Pittsburgh, PA 1 DAYS AGO 22802319 Summary Pittsburgh, PA In-Person $60000.00 - $75000.00 per Year 2 Years Experience High school graduate or equivalency certificate (GED) No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Day Shift / Full-Time Description We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join the CorePower Magnetics team. With growth in customer revenue and active development programs, CorePower Magnetics is bringing to market a step change in magnetic core performance with up to 10x weight reduction, up to 5x volume reduction, and up to 2x loss reduction of engineered magnetic components. CorePower Magnetics' technology can have broad implications across grid modernization efforts and electric vehicles and aviation through its smaller, lighter, more efficient components. The Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for assembly and quality control testing and tracking of magnetic components for prototype and production runs based on drawings and work instructions and also assisting in the production of magnetic components, specifically in the casting and annealing processes. This position will also be responsible for: Interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings. Performing component assembly. Operating electrical test equipment. Assisting in the preparation, casting, and annealing processes of magnetic components. Managing and executing tasks according to agreed upon deadlines while meeting expectations on quality of work. Documenting test and assembly results, including completion of test sheets, inspection reports, product certifications, non-conformance reports, and casting/annealing procedures and results. Working closely with Engineers and staff throughout the company, including troubleshooting assembly and testing issues. Performing quality control checks and maintaining a record of these inspections. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Carrying out all other duties as required.
Requirements:
Trade / Technical school degree or equivalent manufacturing experience. Manual dexterity to assemble electronic devices is required. Coil and bobbin winding, hand soldering for wire terminations, and electrical property testing. Experience and knowledge of casting and annealing processes, quality systems, standards, and quality control methodology is a plus. Experience with technical drawing software (CAD, SolidWorks) and additive manufacturing of fixtures and other functional parts is also a plus. Capable of developing skills and knowledge in techniques and standard procedures and able to effectively use these skills and knowledge in performing work. Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 lbs. Ability to read and follow oral or written instruction. Continual attention to detail. Independent judgment and decision making abilities. Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office products to organize and communicate. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to identify a problem or issue and explain findings to a chosen audience.
