Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM-4:30 PM; Friday, 7:00 AM-11:00
AM Work Setting:
Fully onsite in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
Job Type:
Full-Time Our client is looking for a Manufacturing Quoting Technician who is comfortable reading blueprints, determining material and labor requirements, and working closely with customers, vendors, engineering, and production. This is a strong fit for someone with experience in manufacturing estimating, quoting, blueprint reading, BOMs, production planning, or technical drafting who enjoys detailed computer work and understands how parts move through a manufacturing environment. This role is 100% onsite and is based in an office area within a working manufacturing/warehouse facility. The position involves extended computer work along with regular interaction with engineering and production teams. What You'll Do Prepare manufacturing quotes based on customer blueprints, drawings, specifications, and samples Determine materials, labor steps, and production requirements needed to manufacture parts Communicate with customers to clarify specifications and gather information needed for accurate quotes Contact vendors to obtain pricing for raw materials Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) and routing information Update material requirements and labor times as needed Prepare detailed assembly and production instructions Coordinate with production to ensure tooling and materials are available before production begins Review and approve sample parts produced on the manufacturing floor Manage multiple quotes and projects while adjusting to changing customer priorities What Our Client Is Looking For Associate degree in a technical or related field or equivalent manufacturing experience Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, or manufacturing specifications Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, labor steps, and production flow Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel Ability to use Excel PivotTables and lookup functions Strong attention to detail and accuracy Comfortable communicating with customers, vendors, engineering, and production teams Ability to manage several projects and changing priorities at the same time Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Experience AutoCAD or similar drafting software ERP or manufacturing software experience 4th Shift ERP experience is a plus Experience creating BOMs, routings, work instructions, or manufacturing estimates Related Experience We'd Consider Manufacturing Estimator, Quoting Specialist, Estimating Technician, Engineering Technician, Manufacturing Technician, Cost Estimator, Production Planner, CAD Technician, or Manufacturing Engineering Technician.
