Automated Manufacturing Technician Location:
Summerville, SC 1st
Shift:
6:30 AM-2:30 PM 2nd
Shift:
2:30 PM-10:30 PM 3rd
Shift:
10:30 PM-6:30
AM Pay:
$21.37-$23.65/hour, depending on experience, including a $1.25 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Overtime may be scheduled before or after the regular shift and on weekends as needed. HTI is hiring Automated Manufacturing Technicians for IFA Rotorion in Summerville, SC. This position is responsible for operating and monitoring automated manufacturing equipment, performing quality checks, supporting basic equipment maintenance activities, and helping keep production processes running safely and efficiently. The company offers a manufacturing environment that combines German and American culture along with opportunities for training and development. What You Need High School Diploma or GED. Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, machine operation, automated equipment, or related experience. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn and independently operate automated production equipment. Basic knowledge of industrial machines, manufacturing processes, measurements, and tolerances. Ability to use gauges and basic measurement and inspection equipment. Ability to read and follow work instructions, CVRs, visual aids, and quality documentation. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to visual and audible machine notifications. Experience independently performing multiple manufacturing or production functions is preferred. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement concepts is a plus. Stable work history required. Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and pre-hire physical. What You Will Do Safely operate and monitor automated production equipment while meeting established production and cycle-time requirements. Load and unload components and materials from automated equipment. Verify incoming parts and components and preassemble components at the required production rate. Perform quality checks using gauges and basic inspection equipment to identify defects and ensure product quality. Monitor equipment performance and identify abnormal conditions, defects, downtime, and other equipment concerns. Initiate maintenance work orders when equipment issues are identified. Perform assigned Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities according to schedule. Identify, document, and properly handle nonconforming materials. Disassemble nonconforming shafts or components according to established work instructions. Complete required production, quality, downtime, TPM, and maintenance documentation. Independently perform multiple designated production functions after completing required training and qualification. Support equipment and process stability by identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, scrap, and equipment reliability. Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with housekeeping and 5S standards. Follow machine guarding, PPE, quality, safety, and standardized work requirements. Work with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to address equipment, production, and quality concerns.
