Hartford, SD 57033 Job Summary The Production Technician produces high-quality products and delivers exceptional service in alignment with the company's commitment to "Right. On Time. Every Time." This role is responsible for safely operating equipment, maintaining quality and productivity standards, supporting continuous improvement, and contributing to a culture of accountability, teamwork, and excellence. Core Functions
  • Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and promote a safe work environment.
  • Operate production equipment, including benders, roll formers, wrappers, slitters, shears, forklifts, and related machinery.
  • Set up and operate equipment according to work instructions and established standards.
  • Perform quality inspections, make adjustments, and ensure accurate, defect-free products.
  • Complete production orders on time while meeting safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and scrap reduction goals.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance inspections and report equipment issues.
  • Accurately complete production records and tracking documentation.
  • Cross-train and assist in other production areas as needed.
  • Support inventory activities and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Measures of Success
  • Operates equipment efficiently while meeting production and quality standards.
  • Achieves proficiency in multiple production functions to support operational flexibility.
  • Demonstrates strong teamwork, communication, and collaboration.
  • Produces accurate, defect-free work with attention to detail.
  • Contributes ideas that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance processes.
  • Effectively uses measurement tools and basic math to verify product specifications.
  • Learns new equipment and processes quickly while adapting to changing priorities. Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Crane and forklift certification, where applicable.
  • One year of manufacturing or production experience. (Preferred)
  • Experience operating industrial equipment and performing preventive maintenance. (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles. (Preferred) Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing environment and requires operating production equipment and working around machinery, vehicles, and moving objects.
  • Regular activities include standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and other repetitive movements. Occasional sitting, climbing, crawling, and lifting up to 55 pounds may be required.
  • Employees may be exposed to noise, temperature fluctuations, outdoor weather conditions, and non-temperature-controlled environments.
  • Required PPE must be worn in designated areas.
Pay:
$40,000.00 per year
