6:30 PM- 6:30 AM/3-days on/ 3-days off
STARTING PAY
$23.50/ hour, with the ability to earn more As a Casting Entry Level Operator for Bonnell Aluminum, you will play a vital role in the production process, ensuring the quality and efficiency of aluminum casting operations. This position requires a blend of mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. You will manage various stages of the casting operation, from preparing the molten aluminum to final product inspection and packaging. The role demands interaction with machinery and technology used for casting aluminum into specified shapes and sizes, necessitating strong technical skills and the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise will not only contribute to meeting production targets but also ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations related to product quality and safety. WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Set up and operate casting machines to produce aluminum products according to specifications. Monitor temperature, pressure, and flow rates of molten aluminum during the casting process. Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specified standards. Adjust machine settings and parameters to optimize production efficiency and product quality. Perform routine maintenance on casting equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operations. Document production data, including output volumes and any issues encountered during the process. Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/ or move up to 30 pounds occasionally Specific vision abilities required by this job included close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. WHAT YOU WILL NEED
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in manufacturing or related field preferred. Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aluminum casting or metalworking. Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate production machinery effectively. Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations in a manufacturing setting. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Must pass company background check and drug screen.
