Lead Production Lab Technician (1st Shift) Farmers Branch, TX #998 Eyemart Express - 3.1 Farmers Branch, TX Job Details Full-time 1 hour ago Qualifications Mid-level Leadership Time management Full Job Description Lead Production Lab Technician Job Description Under the direction of the Central Lab Production Manager and shift Production Manager, the Lead Production Lab Technician directs the lab workflow to ensure quality and production goals while maintaining cleanliness and equipment maintenance standards for each area of the
Central Lab:
Surfacing, Finishing, and Inspection Specific Duties and Responsibilities Ensures that the quality and workmanship of Central Lab eyewear meets the standards set by Eyemart Express In collaboration with maintenance supervisors on staff, directs lab operators in their assigned maintenance tasks. Maintain a turnaround time of less than three days on lab orders. Develops the optical knowledge and professional skills of their team members On duty supervision for equipment operators to clear errors, repair machines and support production as needed.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Experience working in an optical lab or technical setting Experience leading production or laboratory teams Industry knowledge of the following equipment preferred: CCU, CCP, HSC, CCL, CT-100, 44R, MR3, and comparable automated lab equipment Background in machine repair preferred Background in coating process and technology preferred
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time (up to 8 hours per day per scheduled shift) Ability to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to approximately 45 lbs, on rare occasions aid in moving heavy lab equipment Must possess excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills Ability to operate basic office equipment Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing Ability to multi-task Ability to identify and solve problems, and facilitate problem solving Attention to detail Time management skills - ability to prioritize and work quickly and efficiently when there are multiple customers to assist Ability to deal with stressful situations such as dissatisfied customers Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees VSP Vision is an equal opportunity employer and gives consideration for employment to qualified applicants without regard to age, gender, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or protected veteran status.
