Job Summary:
Fibrix Filtration is seeking self-motivated, safety-conscious individuals to join our production team with the
opportunity to grow from Trainee to Operator, and ultimately to Senior Operator. This is a hands-on
position focused on learning, development, and performance within our filtration manufacturing
processes.
The selected candidate will begin as a Trainee, gaining experience and training on key machinery, safety
protocols, and product quality standards. As competence is demonstrated, advancement opportunities to
Operator and Senior Operator will be available.
Key Responsibilities:
Trainee Responsibilities (Entry Level):
- Learn safety protocols and daily start-up procedures, including checking that all guards are intact and
- properly placed.
- Review daily production schedules and retrieve appropriate specification sheets.
- Assist with basic production setup tasks such as tip installation, spray line filter replacement, and fiber
- bale retrieval.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to hands-on training and operational feedback.
Operator Responsibilities (Upon Progression):
- Set up and adjust machinery (blend lines, ovens, Rando system, needle looms) according to product
- specs.
- Monitor and maintain equipment settings including feed rolls, lapper, traverse, spray pumps, oven
- temps, and more.
- Instruct picker operators and coordinate with crew for blend setup and fiber handling.
- Perform regular quality checks (weight, width, loft, hand, trim, color) and make necessary adjustments.
- Monitor electric eyes, spray patterns, oven conveyors, and other key systems.
- Clean and maintain operational components such as garnets, tappers, and comb blades.
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and report abnormalities or safety concerns.

Senior Operator Responsibilities (Advanced Level):
Lead and guide the production line team, always ensuring safety and quality compliance.
Support and train Trainees and Operators; report on their progress to supervisors.
Assume supervisory responsibilities during the absence of the Shift Supervisor.
Make performance recommendations and proactively report any process or equipment issues.
Record deviations from spec sheets, initiate corrective actions, and verify implementation.
Assist in equipment repairs and help drive continuous process improvements.
Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and maintain resin recycling, wet tack,
and Marsh printing systems.
Qualifications:
Required:
Read standard gauges (scales, tape ruler, measuring devices)
Participate in the Continuous Quality Improvement Process.
Basic Math Skills
Availability to work shift-based schedules
Good decision-making skills.
Ability to Troubleshoot.
Ability to work independently and with others.
Self-motivated/adaptable.
Possesses the ability to bend and stoop.
Lift up to 50 pounds.
Follow directions and instructions well.
Walk, stand, and sit for a 12-hour shift.

Preferred:
Familiarity with industrial equipment or filtration processes
Mechanical aptitude or prior manufacturing experience (for Operator roles)
Leadership or supervisory experience (for Senior Operator roles)
