Job Summary This job is for a solar panel manufacturing company in himble We are seeking a dynamic Equipment Engineer Technician to join our manufacturing team and drive operational excellence. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of manufacturing equipment to ensure seamless production processes. Your expertise will help optimize machinery performance, reduce downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track maintenance activities, schedule repairs, and document equipment history. Conduct electrical diagnostics and repair tasks involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical systems, and blueprint reading to identify root causes of malfunctions. Maintain and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure equipment accuracy and quality standards are met. Support industrial mechanic activities such as stick welding, troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and performing equipment repairs with safety compliance. Assist in the installation of new machinery or upgrades by interpreting schematics and electrical blueprints while adhering to safety protocols. Provide technical support for HVAC/R systems, including troubleshooting HVAC components like compressors, fans, and ductwork. Collaborate with engineering teams on troubleshooting projects and process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations; operate scissor lifts or other industrial equipment safely when needed. Experience Proven experience working within a manufacturing facility environment with hands-on maintenance or equipment repair responsibilities. Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including troubleshooting electrical issues using voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and schematics. Experience with CMMS software for maintenance planning and recordkeeping is highly desirable. Skilled in mechanical repair techniques such as welding (stick welding), hydraulic system troubleshooting, and pneumatic system analysis. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical blueprint reading, HVAC/R systems, and industrial mechanics is essential. Ability to interpret technical schematics and troubleshoot complex machinery problems efficiently.
