We are looking for someone who enjoys challenging work-not simply loading parts into a machine. If you're the type of individual who likes taking a print, figuring out the best processes and fixtures, improving cycle times, and producing exceptional parts with minimal supervision, we'd like to talk with you. What you'll do: Program CNC mills and lathes from engineering drawings. Set up and independently operate or delegate operation of CNC equipment independently. Edit and optimize G-code at the machine when necessary. Select tooling, work holding, feeds, and speeds. Produce first-article parts with little or no supervision or coaching staff to produce quality parts in a timely fashion. Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment. Continuously improve setup times and machining efficiency. Maintain organized tooling and work areas and engineer storage solutions that increase profits. Help develop better manufacturing processes for future jobs. Required Skills Minimum 10 years of CNC machining or other hands on manufacturing experience. Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge. Ability to use SolidWorks or Fusion 360 to document parts and generate CNC code. Ability to independently program, set up, and run CNC mills and lathes. Experience editing G-code at the control. Understanding of tooling, cutter compensation, work offsets, and machine probing. Comfortable holding tolerances of 0.001 inch or better, with tighter tolerances when required. Experience with precision inspection equipment including micrometers, bore gauges, indicators, and height gauges. Ability to work without constant supervision. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Hurco controls. CAD/CAM programming experience. Fixture design experience. Macro programming. Experience machining stainless steels, alloy steels, aluminum, and exotic materials. Ability to train and mentor less experienced machinists. Who Will Succeed Here This position is not for someone who only wants to run production parts all day.
The ideal candidate will:
Enjoy solving manufacturing problems. Takes ownership of quality. Is constantly looking for faster and better machining methods. Treats company equipment as if it were their own. Wants to build a long-term career with a growing company. Compensation Top performers will be compensated accordingly. We recognize that exceptional machinists and engineers create value through reduced setup time, lower scrap, improved cycle times, and consistently delivering quality parts. If you can demonstrate those abilities, we are prepared to pay for them. If you're looking for a place where your skills are trusted, your ideas are valued, and your work has a direct impact on the success of the business, we'd like to hear from you.
