Job Description
Overview The Production Technician is responsible for the safe and reliable operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment in an oil and gas field environment. This role requires strong hands-on technical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with production personnel and other field teams. Responsibilities Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot oil and gas production equipment. Monitor producing wells, tank batteries, compressors, separators, flowlines, and related equipment. Diagnose equipment failures and perform or coordinate repairs. Identify and resolve field issues affecting production, reliability, or safety. Optimize production and support achievement of production targets. Perform routine equipment inspections and preventive maintenance. Manage assigned production routes with minimal supervision. Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and operational procedures. Work with production personnel and other field teams to resolve operational issues. Accurately document field activities, equipment conditions, maintenance, and production issues. Qualifications Hands-on oil & gas production experience strongly preferred. Lease Operator, Pumper, Production Technician, or similar production operations experience highly desirable. Midland Basin and/or Permian Basin experience strongly preferred. Hands-on experience with producing wells, tank batteries, compressors, separators, flowlines, and related production equipment. Strong equipment troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong mechanical and technical aptitude. Ability to independently diagnose and resolve field issues. Ability to manage a production route with minimal supervision. Strong commitment to safety and operational excellence. Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a field team. Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug, MVR, agility and fit for duty.
