Recent expansion at the Mesquite facility has opened a Manufacturing Engineer Technician position. This person will provide metal fabrication support for the manufacturing of consumer pressure washers, generators, and water pumps. The position is critical in identifying and resolving daily manufacturing problems as they occur, to minimize schedule and cost impact. Primary Responsibilities:
Set-up and train assembly operators in the use of Mazak 4KW fiber optic laser. Work with QC to validate first article inspections and drawing updates. Assist with the installation and validation of new metal fabrication equipment: tube bending and swaging, press brakes, punches, and welders. Assist with Lean Manufacturing implementation of 5S, Standard Work, and VSM. Assist with production line balancing. Participate in and support continuous improvement/cost reduction projects. Monitor and track daily manufacturing reported problems. Participate in corrective actions to resolve. Review and assist with the resolution of customer complaints and quality issues as related to manufacturing processes. Assists in product change validations.
Qualifications:
Effective verbal and written communication skills. Intermediate computer skills required for MS Excel, email, and MS office products. Experience with Laser programming and metal fab is a plus, but not required. Familiarity with the Outdoor Power Equipment or Power Tools industry is a plus.
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED is required. Technical school certificate or two-year associate degree in technical field is a plus.
