Job Description
Role Description We are seeking a Lead Electrical Technician to oversee and perform the creation, installation, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic control systems, including, but not limited to, reading and following schematics, panel building, soldering, PLC programming, and some mechanical assembly. In addition to hands-on technical work, this role takes ownership of the technical direction and daily workflow of the electrical team: assigning and prioritizing work, setting the standard for quality and safety, training and developing other technicians, and serving as the primary point of escalation on complex or unresolved issues. This person works closely with engineering on new system startups and is looked to as the go-to technical leader on the floor. This role requires deep knowledge and experience working with relays, switches, solenoids, and motor controllers, while ensuring system efficiency, safety compliance, and documentation of all work performed. - Installing, calibrating, and maintaining instruments and control systems, including building panels, soldering, and knowledge of relays, switches, solenoids, and motor controllers.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with existing systems.
- Performing regular tests and inspections to ensure optimal operation of equipment.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Recommending modifications or upgrades to improve system efficiency and safety.
- Demonstrating an understanding of logical systems.
- Programming, editing, and troubleshooting PLC logic to support new equipment startups and existing system upgrades.
- Assigning and prioritizing daily work among technicians, and coordinating with other team members and departments to complete projects and tasks.
- Serving as the primary point of technical escalation for complex or unresolved issues, and performing final review/sign-off on completed work.
- Documenting all work performed, including repairs made and parts used.
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Formally training, mentoring, and evaluating the performance of less experienced staff, including onboarding new technicians.
- Maintaining an inventory of electrical/electronic components, supplies, spare parts, and equipment.
- Possessing the ability and aptitude to work through the development of prototype products and related troubleshooting associated with new system startups.
- Utilizing handheld tools proficiently.
- Reworking and/or repairing assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area.
- Working safely and comfortably with voltage ranges from 110-480AC & 6-48DC. Qualification Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 6-8 years working with control systems and mechanical assembly, including demonstrated leadership or informal supervisory experience.
- Hands-on experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell platforms preferred).
- Must have experience in soldering.
- Basic reading skills. Must be able to follow directions.
- Basic computer navigation and utilization skills.
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea.
- High level of attention to detail and self-motivation skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly train, direct, and give feedback to other technicians.
- Must be able to read tape measures and other measuring devices.

- The ability to lift 30-50 pounds and regularly perform repetitive tasks.
- Requires regular standing, bending, and lifting.

Work Hours:
Monday-Thursday 6:00 am- 3:30 pm. Friday 6:00 am
- 10:00 am. Compensation
Pay:
$30- $35 per hour.
