Job Description & Responsibilities As a Production Technician , you will assist in the duties of the Engineering Lab team to achieve goals, complete projects, and meet deadlines as established by laboratory management. As we strive towards excellence in product development, the tasks and duties will vary at different stages of the process.
Key Responsibilities :
  • Utilize computer skills to effectively navigate Windows OS, Microsoft Office suite, Google Docs, and cloud-based digital file systems. Demonstrate proficiency in working with PC hardware, including data entry and peripheral devices, and troubleshooting basic hardware issues.
  • Utilize hand and power tools, such as basic drivers, drills, and measuring devices, for assembly and disassembly tasks. Possess a good understanding of general hardware, including knowledge of nuts, bolts, metric/SAE measurements, and other relevant components.
  • Participate in the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of prototype units, following standard operating procedures. Assist in conducting experiments and tests, collecting and analyzing data, and preparing reports as required.
  • Contribute to the efficient operation of the engineering lab by maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Support the implementation of process improvements and recommend innovative solutions to enhance productivity and quality.
Desired Skills and Qualifications :
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in engineering or a related field is highly preferred. Previous experience in a similar role or relevant hands-on experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • Experience working with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and develop effective solutions. Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and relay information accurately.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to overcome challenges. Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision after receiving comprehensive training. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Solid understanding of electrical systems, basic engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and quality control procedures.
  • Proficient in the use of soldering equipment to perform PCB modifications for testing and debugging. Familiarity with experimental testing methodologies and data collection techniques.
  • Experience navigating and utilizing Linux-based systems for various tasks is desirable.
Familiarity with scripting languages (shell, Python, and C) and programming concepts to support software development and automation processes is of interest.
