We have an opportunity for a Gridline Operator to join our Manitowoc, WI team. You will operate the grid oven, washer, conveyor conveying equipment and tube bender within the parameters set forth by the operating manual(s). Use various fixtures and hand tools in evaporator assembly. Also, lift and move tools, parts and material per prescribed methods.
You will:
Assemble partitions and evaporators; Inspect and perform minor repair of evaporators Produce Evaporators per Safety, Quality and Efficiency standards. Interpret and apply engineering drawings instructions and standards Complete all needed paperwork and use a computer Work in a fast-paced, physically demanding, team-oriented environment
Key Qualifications:
Successfully complete all training required for certification in the Grid Line Operations within 2 months High school diploma/GED. 2-3 years of experience in mechanical assembly in a physical manufacturing environment and equipment operations. Operate torch for solder repair. Read and use measuring equipment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to regularly lift up to 41-lbs unassisted, ability to maneuver fixtured evaporators up to 100-lbs unassisted, comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically-demanding, team-oriented environment, ability to stand for extended periods of time. Steel toed shoes are required on the production floor.
Shift/Hours:
2nd shift 2:00pm - 10:00pm Monday -
Friday Compensation:
Starting hourly pay for this role is: $24.69/hr with the opportunity to earn $30+ within 12 months! Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.
