The ideal candidate brings a solid understanding of fundamental welding principles, processes, equipment, materials, and shop safety—and can confidently communicate that knowledge with instructors, students, employers, and industry partners. But this role is about more than knowing welding. It's about growing welding training at Mohave College. You'll build relationships with employers, identify training opportunities, follow up on leads, communicate the value of our programs, and help turn conversations into scheduled training. Behind the scenes, you'll help keep the operation running smoothly by maintaining accurate inventories of welding materials, consumables, tools, and equipment; anticipating training needs; and making sure the shop is ready when training begins. You'll work closely with and support the Welding Director in coordinating schedules, employer requests, training logistics, and day-to-day program needs. Coordinates student qualification testing logistics and communication. Maintains facility calendars and testing schedules. Coordinates scheduling and deployment of mobile welding training operations. Assists with operational logistics for contract and off-site testing activities. Maintains inventory records for welding and testing equipment, supplies, and consumables. Coordinates procurement requests and supply ordering activities. Coordinates maintenance and repair scheduling for welding and testing equipment. Assists with setup and preparation of testing and instructional environments. Maintains operational documentation and records associated with welding and testing activities. Promotes welding training and testing services to industry and community partners. Assists with outreach events, demonstrations, tours, and workforce training activities. Serves as an operational contact for students, faculty, and industry clients regarding scheduling and support functions. Tracks participation, operational activity, and reporting data. Coordinates communication related to training and testing activities. Performs and/or supports welding and workforce training activities as assigned. Supports general welding program operations and student engagement activities. Adheres to college, federal, and state administrative procedures, guidelines, initiatives, and directives to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations affecting college operations. Performs other tasks of a similar nature or level as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED Experience in operational coordination, scheduling, technical training support, or related field Experience in a retail or sales environment in the welding industry Demonstrated organizational and communication skills Valid driver's license Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position Welding industry experience Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting workforce training or technical education programs Experience with inventory coordination and equipment scheduling Experience with mobile training operations Welding certification background It is the responsibility of each applicant to have all the following documents on file in the Employee Services office by the deadline date in order to continue in the application process for this position.
