Our robots are engineered to perform a wide range of tasks in commercial and industrial environments. We are based in San Jose, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. It's time to build. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to own softgoods and plastic parts.
Responsibilities:
Design parts in 3D CAD that satisfy load conditions, industrial design form factor, and durability requirements. Work closely with industrial designer to execute on the vision and form of the system Own the industrial design robot buck, keep up to date with latest files from our engineers and communicate with suppliers Design injection molded plastic parts with Class A surfaces Generate accurate 2D drawings using GD&T per
ASME Y14.5.
Inspect first articles, build test stands, and continuously support part on robot development platforms.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering Experience working with industrial design departments Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical, Biomechanical, Robotics, Mechatronics, or similar field Expert in using 3D CAD software to design parts with complex geometry Experience with high volume manufacturing processes specifically injection molding and die cutting Experience designing and building prototypes Ability to write and maintain clean documentation for design processes.
Bonus Qualifications:
Experienced with simulation and analysis methodology (FEA, MATLAB etc.) Experience working with contract manufacturers. Experience with fabric manufacturing

Experience The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $120,000 - $180,000 annually. The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
