Process Engineer

Job Description

TWIN MRO, a 100% employee owned turbine component overhaul & repair facility located in South Windsor, CT, is seeking a Process Engineer . In this role, you will be be expected to interpret turbine engine shop manual technical data and assist with the generation and completion of manufacturing processes and job shop paperwork to expedite work-flow of parts throughout the building. You will also support manufacturing processes by working with shop floor staff to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues. The ideal Process Engineer candidate will possess the following skills: Familiarity with standard machining operations such as milling, turning and grinding as well as special processes such as plating, thermal spray, welding, heat treating and others. Familiarity with job shop paperwork including travelers, detail sheets, and other engineering documents Experience with the generation of inspection method sheets (IMS) from technical data and engine manuals Proven ability to coordinate with manufacturing staff in order to understand process gaps or flaws and create action plans to improve manufacturing conditions and reduce down time Working knowledge of CAD and 3D modeling software (Solidworks or similar) to support tool design AS/BS in Engineering is a plus but NOT required Previous work experience in an Overhaul & Repair environment is a plus but NOT required •Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
