Job Description

Scope of Position The Welding Program Skills Specialist assists Welding Technology students, particularly those in Competency-Based Education sections, with learning the skills required in the various courses offered in the program. When not assisting students, this individual assists with keeping the Welding Shop fully maintained and operational. Key Measurable Expectations (KMEs) Prepare students for industry certifications (e.g., AWS) Maintain a safe and organized lab environment Prepare lists of materials needed Assess student performance and provide feedback Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions Associate degree in Welding Technology or extensive work in the welding field. Minimum 3-5 years of industry experience. Ability to teach diverse learners and use instructional technology Strong communication and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree. AWS certification Teaching experience at the post-secondary level In this part-time position, Team Members can expect to be paid an hourly rate of $33.83.
