Recruiter Summary of Position We are looking for an experienced welder and cutting professional who is already in technical sales or is interested in making the transition into sales. This role is ideal for someone with extensive hands-on experience with welding and cutting who understands the challenges manufacturers face and wants to help customers solve those challenges through advanced automation. We are willing to train the right candidate in sales. We are looking for the right welder first. As a Sales Welding Engineer, you'll combine your welding and technical expertise with consultative selling to help manufacturers implement advanced robotic welding and cutting solutions. You'll work directly with engineers, leaders, and business owners to understand their needs, demonstrate solutions, and develop automation projects that improve productivity, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate is articulate, well-spoken, technically confident, and comfortable working directly with customers. Earn a competitive salary with strong commission potential. What You'll Do Use your welding and cutting expertise to understand customer applications and challenges. Develop qualified sales opportunities into long-term customer partnerships. Demonstrate robotic welding, automation, and cutting solutions. Work with customers to identify needs and recommend appropriate technical solutions. Learn and apply consultative sales techniques, product knowledge, and company processes. Manage customer activity, forecasts, and opportunities using Odoo or similar ERP platforms. Support customers through implementation, training, and ongoing success. Travel to customer sites, industry events, and trade shows as needed. What Makes You Successful Strong hands-on welding and cutting experience is required. Extensive MIG and TIG welding. Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, welding, cutting, industrial equipment, and automation. Previous sales is valuable, but we will train an experienced welder who is motivated to learn. Articulate, well-spoken, ability to communicate comfortably with customers and technical teams. Explaining technical info clearly to engineering, operations, and executive-level audiences. Customer-focused mindset with an interest in building lasting relationships. Experience with 6-axis and collaborative robots, plasma cutting, or similar technologies is a plus. Comfortable traveling up to 25% to support customers and grow the business.
