Employer Kautex Inc. is seeking a Sr. Manager Sales CBU in Troy, MI
JOB DUTIES
Develop quotations/business proposals in response to allocated customer RFQs, utilizing technical engineering background in design and development of plastic components within the automotive industry. Ensure strong financial control of all project costs and sales resulting in positive cash flow, invoices raised at earliest opportunity, and meeting or exceeding project result expectations and sound financial tracking. Actively participate and aid in the development of sales & pricing strategies and correlate them to enterprise-wide business processes such as the goal deployment process, annual operating plan, and program management road map. Develop project cost estimates such as Capital Expenditures, Customer Owned Tooling and ED&T in conjunction with functional owners of these documents. Present complex business proposals to senior management and can win approvals in the execution of sales strategies of allocated customers. Execute business and pricing strategies. Responsible for price negotiations with the customer in line with targets set by the Senior Leadership Team utilizing the Kautex Global Pricing Model - CAR Process.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, or related field and 7 years of experience as an engineer in design and development of plastic components within the automotive industry. Also, 5 years of experience stated herein to involve: (1) participating in the quoting of complex automotive programs with large Bills of Material within OEM development processes (e.g., APQP gate models), program timing waterfalls, BOM & change control (including
ECR & ECN
); (2) Leading multi-functional Product Development Teams; Cross-functional leadership with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and plant ops; (3) Creating narratives and commercial updates for executive stakeholders; (4) Developing market and product strategy for plastic fuel systems and battery enclosures; and (5) Analyzing competitor & alt tech positioning within the automotive industry.
