$70,000•$90,000Position OverviewWe are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer•Welding to develop, optimize and sustain welding and fabrication processes for metal components and assemblies. This role focuses on MIG welding process development, machine set-up, fixture design, and continuous improvement to support production targets, part quality, and manufacturability. The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with production, quality, design and maintenance teams to implement robust welding procedures, troubleshoot process issues, and drive efficiency gains.

Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and validate MIG welding processes and WPS to meet quality, production and part requirements.

Set up, tune and qualify welding equipment/fixtures for repeatable, high-quality output.

Partner with engineering on weldability/manufacturability reviews and cost-reduction recommendations.

Create work instructions, process flows, inspection criteria and operator training materials.

Support fabrication ops (brake press, laser cutting, machining, assembly) to optimize throughput.

Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for welding defects/distortion; run trials and metallurgical evaluations.

Drive lean/continuous improvement initiatives to cut cycle time, scrap and cost.

Ensure welding consumables and procedures meet code (AWS) and customer requirementsQualificationsBachelor's in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience in metal fabrication and welding.

Demonstrated MIG welding process development experience; able to write/qualify WPS.Skilled in setting up and optimizing welding equipment/fixtures; experience supporting fab shops.

Familiarity with brake press, laser cutting, machining and assembly.

Working knowledge of AWS codes and welding-related metallurgy.

CAD proficiency (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) and basic fixture/jig design experience.

Strong troubleshooting/root-cause skills; experience with 5S, Kaizen, FMEA.Able to read blueprints, GD&T and welding symbols.
