FDB_Job_Title_Introduction Tribologist Responsibilities Set up and run tribology test equipment and undertake data collection, analysis and reporting. Participate and give technical guidance for product development. Provide tribology support to relevant functions within the wider organization. Carry out component failure analysis and complete appropriate testing on prepared samples. Occasional formal and informal presentations to management and/or customers. Qualifications BS or higher in Tribology, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or related field. 1-5 years work experience in an R&D environment. Experience with tribology test rigs preferred. Practical experience with bearings, gears, chains or other industry components preferred. CAD construction skills desired. Machining and 3D printing experience preferred.
